Philip B. Whyman is Professor of Economics and Director of the Lancashire Institute for Economic and Business Research (LIEBR) at the University of Central Lancashire. He has written many books about the economic relationship between the UK and the EU, is a former economic researcher and European officer in the Economic and Research Department of the USDAW trade union and is author of The Left Case for Brexit: Active government for an independent UK, published in September 2018 by Civitas.
