Michael Gove has been Conservative MP for Surrey Heath since 2005 and served in the Cabinet between 2010 and 2016 and then as Environment Secretary between June 2017 and July 2019. He was Co-Convener of the Vote Leave Campaign Committee and was a candidate for the leadership of the Conservative Party both after David Cameron’s resignation in 2016 and again after Theresa May’s resignation in 2019. Since July 2019 he has been Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.
