Announcement of Conservative Party MPs elected to the Brexit Select Committee

Further to my preview post, the following Conservative MPs have been elected to serve on the Exiting the European Union Select Committee:

  • Alistair Burt (Bedfordshire North East, Remain)
  • Maria Caulfield (Lewes, Leave)
  • Michael Gove (Surrey Heath, Leave)
  • Andrea Jenkyns (Morley & Outwood, Leave)
  • Jeremy Lefroy (Stafford, Remain)
  • Peter Lilley (Hitchin & Harpenden, Leave)
  • Karl McCartney (Lincoln, Leave)
  • Craig Mackinlay (Thanet South, Leave)
  • Dominic Raab (Esher & Walton, Leave)
  • John Whittingdale (Maldon, Leave)

They join Labour’s Hilary Benn, Seema Malhotra, Pat McFadden, Emma Reynolds and Stephen Timms on the committee, which will also include two SNP MPs and one each from the Liberal Democrats, DUP, SDLP and Plaid Cymru.

The following Tories were unsuccessful in the ballot:
